“Never fear spoiling children by making them too happy. Happiness is the atmosphere in which all good affections grow.”
Thomas Bray
A parenting coach works with parents to help them become the parent they want to be. Many factors get in the way of us being a capable, wise, and loving parent. Sometimes our anger gets out of control and relates to issues that are linked to other pressures and have nothing to do with our children, yet too often they become our target. Sometimes, we're unfulfilled in our significant relationships and are dealing with unmet needs, abuse, an absent partner, or an uneven distribution of labor.
Often despite feeling grateful for our children, our partners, our families, and friends, we have a sense that something is missing from our lives. Trying to deal with any one of these factors prevents us from being the parent we want to be.
As a coach, we can assist you on any of these life issues or others and provide you with useful parenting tools that keep both your dignity and self-worth and your child's intact. We often assist clients in seeing how the Law of Attraction has contributed to their present situation and teach them how we can change our focus to achieve a different outcome.
One of the intangible benefits of coaching that many people particularly enjoy is having someone there who is focused on you and your needs, without running her agenda. A coach can listen to you as no one has ever heard to you before! For many people, this is very comforting and a real confidence-builder.
“I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.”
Harry S. Truman
Not usually. We support adults from the background, placing the power in the hands of parents and teachers who love the children and have the most invested in their success. We help parents maintain the authority with their children, which can dissipate if they see their parents being correct.
